Don’t be late at booking a late deal

We are fast approaching the summer holidays and some of you may be holding out for a good late deal.  Holiday With Us and Spalding Travel would like to let you how you can find a good deal.

Where do we start? So the weather has been a little unreliable so far here in the UK and then we find ourselves asking the question, do we really want to holiday here?

Now the world has become a little closer as low-cost airlines from our regional airports have made travelling fast, more affordable and easier.  With flights travelling all over Europe at competitive prices you need to be on your toes at grabbing those great deals.

Holiday With Us and Spalding Travel recommend their clients to think ahead even on a later deal.  Leaving a booking until a week before does not necessarily get you the best value as your flight seats price increases as the date gets closer, especially in peak periods when seat availability is low and demand is high.  We would suggest if you’re thinking of travelling this summer you need to be giving yourself at least a twelve week to four week booking period as this will give you choice and you will get a good deal but you will get what you want… rather than what is left!

If you leave it to the last minute, you may find that the only good deals around mean that you need to depart from one airport and return to another or your choice of hotels is limited.  If you have no choice but to book a week in advance then ensure you are ready to book as soon as you see that deal, otherwise with a blink of an eye, that holiday can disappear.

So where do you travel to get a good deal in summer holidays? Well, school holidays can make a holiday unaffordable especially if you leave it late so maybe think of a self drive to France on a Keycamp holiday where you can stay at great holiday camps across Europe offering your family a range of activities and entertainment.

Maybe a short break to a city where you can indulge in history, cultures and tastes is the best option for you! During peak periods cites maybe an answer to a more affordable option, and some of my favourite places are the eastern european areas where you get value on your flights and hotel and value from the minute you arrive.  The cost of living in these areas is lower than here in the UK so you find that your money stretches that little further. Places like Krakow in Poland, Budapest in Hungary or Prague in the Czech Republic are great areas where value is guaranteed.

So, just to be a spoil sport, the best way to get a really good deal is book now for the following year when you really do get value on selected holiday. For example, if you book before the 9th June Sandals (the leading Caribbean All Inclusive specialist) has a two for one offer at present this means that you buy a holiday for one passenger, and you get the second adult place absolutely free!  You can travel for 10 nights to Antigua for as little as £1300 per person and this would easily be over £2000 per person outside of the sale period. Plus, Royal Caribbean Cruises have a free All Inclusive upgrade in which they are offering free drinks package on selected 2016 sailings.

So if its choice and value book early – if it is a late deal don’t leave it too late and face being disappointed!
