Parador Las Canadas del Teide - Tenerife

Located 70 kilometres from the islands capital, Santa Cruz and over 2,000 metres above sea level, this is the only property within the Teide National Park. It is close to the summit of the mountain and guests have impressive panoramic views of the Teide cone and the Chaorra crater.

It is a small parador with just 37 bedrooms and is traditionally furnished with a comfortable lounge with open fire, a bar, an indoor pool and a gym. This is obviously a great base for hiking, and it is also an ideal place to stay if you are interested in astronomy – the parador has two high powered telescopes and talks are given on the subject every Friday.
