A journey to Orlando and Florida is often on people’s Holiday wish list. One of our own Travel Consultants, Florence Plumb of the March branch, shared with us her incredible 9 day Orlando experience and a 5 day cruise with Carnival that followed.
Orlando is a city that is widely spread and so a hire car is often advisable to those wishing to visit anything not in downtown Orlando. Flo, staying a little way away from Universal, chose to hire a car to simplify matters – though alternatively most hotels often provide regular bus services.
There’s no doubt that you’ll want to visit some of the many famous theme park attractions such as Disney World and Universal. Flo clued us in on Disney and Universal’s Smartphone Apps, which are easily accessible via the free internet available in all Disney and Universal parks. These apps provide you with important information such as real-time wait hours which help you to avoid a large crowd or long line. Using the interactive GPS enabled map, you can easily explore Walt Disney World Resort and see attractions, dining options and details and more nearest to your location.
When you want to escape the crowds, relax and cool off, any time is a fantastic time to marvel at amazing attractions such as Ripley’s believe it or not museum, or alike Flo, take a trip to water parks such as CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort and Wet n Wild Orlando.
After her incredible nine day stay in Orlando, Florence drove from Orlando to Tampa – an hour and a half journey – to begin her 5 day cruise aboard Carnival Paradise. Fun outdoors and in, the Carnival Paradise combines an exceptional amount of active with spacious and comfortable accommodation to create the perfect environment for everyone to enjoy.
